Blackbaud’s Conference for Nonprofits Evening Events
There’s No Better Place to Network and Interact After hearing feedback for nine years, we know that you value the connections you make with colleagues during our networking events. This year’s events will provide a great place for you to network and interact with your peers and Blackbaud staff. And, of course, the evenings will be filled with engaging and lively entertainment so you can relax and have fun.
Welcome Reception in the Blackbaud Marketplace Sunday • 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Charleston Area Convention Center (map)
Join us to celebrate the beginning of the Conference and start the exciting week off right! Our Welcome Reception will be an evening full of good company, tasty food, beverages, and fun. You must be present to win one of the great raffle prizes, so don’t miss it!
Mix It Up…A Night of Artful Interaction Monday • 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Memminger Hall Auditorium, Downtown Charleston (map)
In keeping with our corporate value of “service to others,” we have chosen several nonprofit organizations to provide the venue and entertainment for our evening networking event. A premier performing arts center and Charleston landmark, Memminger Hall Auditorium fell into disrepair after Hurricane Hugo tore off its roof in 1989. But thanks to a $6 million renovation made possible by Spoleto Festival USA’s “Inspiring Community Voices” capital campaign, it reopened its doors last year — making it a great choice as the backdrop for our event.
Accenting the evening with exquisite performances, The Sumter Civic Dance Company will surely entertain. Members of the Dance Company are on the Artists in Education Roster, sponsored by the South Carolina Arts Commission, enabling them to teach and perform in South Carolina public schools. Meanwhile, the Foundation for Hospital Art has provided art supplies and outlined canvases for attendees to fill in with their artistic visions — the completed murals will be donated to local hospitals. If these entertaining options don’t inspire your community spirit, join us for some interactive games and get a chance to win a donation to your organization.
Experience Charleston, a Night Out on the Town Tuesday • 7:00 p.m. Downtown Charleston
Outstanding cuisine, a unique heritage, and generous hospitality are the hallmarks of Charleston. On Tuesday night, experience the city the way it should be. Blackbaud will provide you with transportation to and from the downtown Charleston area. Once you arrive, explore the city’s nooks and crannies, making sure to drop into a restaurant or shop to get a taste of the neighborhood culture.
